Combining Engineering and Wine East Coast Walk - The Beginning
May 09

I’m going to try to virtually walk the east coast, from Caribou, ME (because I like the name) to Key West, FL (because really, what’s not to like?). Actually, I’m going to walk, run, or bike the route, adding miles to my map whenever I exercise or walk the dog. It just seemed like a fun way to make exercising more interesting.

Here’s the route. I’ll post occasionally with my actual progress and information on any interesting things I’ve “seen” along the way. Google Maps tells me the trip will be 2,059 miles, but I may alter the route as I go to see specific things or go specific places.

Your route looks like it comes close to New Haven, CT.
Stop by when you get there :)

I LOVE IT!!! Might I steal, er, creatively borrow your idea? Except I might do something on the western side.

    Ooh…I’m sensing a challenge!

Ilana - Did I tell you that I lived in Middletown for almost 5 years and worked in North Haven for much of that? I’ll definitely stop in for virtual lunch when I’m there. :)

Pam - Steal away. I considered doing the Pacific Coast Trail, but for my first walk I decided it would be easier to follow roads. East coast was more a random choice. If you do it, please blog about it so we can follow along!
